Monte's bum prefers cloth!

Working on a post all about our one and only LOVE for Monte's bum....GroVia! Those of you who really know me know that I love using cloth diapers and I have nothing but positive things to say about GroVia (I've recommended them to so many friends and family already!)

I'm working on getting some great pictures...just have to wait for this rain to pass :/

Today is the day!

Yep, today I officially reopen my shop! Ali-bali Knits is now Ali Bali Green :) I was chatting with my momma yesterday morning, and she asked me, "So what has changed over the last couple months?" ....LOTS!

My principles are still the same :) Knitting has been such an outlet for me since my Monster was born. I am a natural parenting momma and I LOVE making unique creations with my hands. I use only eco-friendly materials, and while some people think that this means muted dull colors, that is so untrue! My pieces use bright, fun color combinations and one of a kind designs to create something truly unique, without leaving a harsh impact on the Earth.

I spent some time initially thinking about what I wanted out of this little venture. I really enjoy creating things and love that I have a self-sustaining hobby! I've gotten a taste of being able to reach out to some people I might not have been able to before through my knitting and talk about how God has been working in my life, which I think is incredible! It is really why I'm wanting to put more into this and see where it takes me :)

I've spent some time getting organized! I have a little nook in a loft area outside of our bedroom that is home to my new sewing machine (yes!) and my truck loads of yarn and knitting supplies. I talked to my Mr. Tax Man and have a wonderful spreadsheet set up and a receipts file too!

I've spent time thinking about what my style is and my hands have been going non-stop since March. I've got A LOT of new items! I also corralled all of Monte's friends together at the park and took pictures, lots of pictures. I love seeing my knits on real kids playing!

Last but not least, I spent my time enjoying my family. Our little guy is turning ONE next weekend. He has been changing so much over the last month and we love love love our time that we have together.

Speaking of the little guy, I've got to get him down for naptime :) I'll be working on posting my listings throughout the day and will be open for orders TODAY!
